Landauer offers a range of passive environmental dosimeters, one of which is the inLight Environmental dosimeter. inLight Environmental dosimeters have a unique ability to withstand harsh outdoor environments while remaining sensitive enough to provide accurate reporting to a dose as low as 1 µSv. inLight Environmental dosimeters utilize the same patented AlO3:C OSL technology found in many of our other passive dosimeters. Environmental dosimeters are supplied sealed within a tamper resistant vinyl pouch for protection and easy deployment. Each set of environmental dosimeters are supplied with two controls, one transit and one deploy, free of charge. inLight Environmental dosimeters are suitable for many applications including, area monitoring, low dose studies and monitoring exposures to members of the public.
Radtrak2® is an alpha track detector which can be used for long term measurement over 2-6 months as an occupational radon dosimetry monitoring service. The exceptionally large range of this detector allows measurement of radon levels from as low as 15 Bq/m3 to as high as 25,000 Bq/m3 over a 3-month period. The detector consists of a film element located within a pod made from a special antistatic plastic which allows radon gas to enter by diffusion. Analysis is performed using a state-of-the-art image scanner.

Landauer has a wealth of experience from environmental monitoring of very low concentrations of radon gas, for example in connection with mining and prospecting for uranium. Our Rapidos® High-Sensitivity Radon Test kit allows measurement of radon levels from as low as 5 Bq/m3 over a two-month measurement period. Rapidos® is also suitable for surveys of houses and buildings in areas where a very low radon concentration is indicated. Rapidos® High Sensitivity Detectors, used for out-door measurements, should be placed inside a Protective Canister. The purpose designed canister, which we offer separately, can hold either one or two detectors and is reusable. The recommended measurement period is 1-3 months, but shorter measuring periods can also be accepted for analysis. A number of transit control detectors will also be enclosed with your delivery, these should remain in their radon-proof bags and not opened until the exposed detectors are ready for return to the laboratory. Transit control detectors allow us to accurately measure only the radon level present at the survey site and not any radon exposure experienced during travel to and from our laboratory.
Rapidos® is an alpha track detector which can be used for short term measurement between 5 and 10 days, also highly sensitive and environmental measurements. The exceptionally large range of this detector allows measurements of radon levels from as low as 60 Bq/m3 to as high as 150,000 Bq/m3 during a 7-day period. The detector consists of a film element located within a pod made from a special antistatic plastic which allows radon gas to enter by diffusion. Analysis is performed using a state-of-the-art image scanner. If you are interested in more details regarding our Low radon concentration detection and short term radon measurement, please contact us on +612 8651 4000 or Email: sales@landauer.com.au
Duotrak® is an alpha track detector which can be used for measurement from 7 days to 3 months. Duotrak offers the possibility to measure in two positions, which can be essential in work places, for example, where the radon concentration is required to be measured separately during working hours and non-working hours. Duotrak is ideal for applications where customers need to be in control of the active measurement time. The exceptionally large range of this detector allows you to measure radon levels from as low as 60 Bq/m3 to as high as 150,000 Bq/m3 during a 7-day period. The detector consists of a film element located within a pod made from a special antistatic plastic which allows radon gas to enter by diffusion. Analysis is performed using a state-of-the-art image scanner. If you are interested in more details regarding Duotrak® and two position measurement, please contact us on +612 8651 4000 or Email: sales@landauer.com.au
The Thoron gas measurement kit consists of a pair of detectors; one Radtrak2® radon detector (not sensitive to thoron) and one Radtrak2T® thoron detector. The thoron gas exposure is obtained by subtracting the radon contribution from the thoron/radon detector. The normal exposure time is 3 months but exposure times between 1 and 12 months can be used. After exposure, the detectors should be returned back to Landauer Australasia as soon as possible. Each detector has a unique number and after analysis, the integrated dose and measurement uncertainty in kBqh/m3 or thoron/radon level in Bq/m3 is reported for each detector number. The customer should make a note of the detector numbers which belong to each measurement kit pair for future cross reference and location identity.
We can also supply Thoron progeny detectors. The exposure time is the same as for thoron gas and the same measurements applied after analysis. If you are interested in more details regarding Thoron gas and progeny measurement, please contact us on +612 8651 4000 or Email: sales@landauer.com.au
